Description

:bulletred: Before all else, for whole misunderstandings it's a photo, not a manipulation or artwork.

( Microsoft souled Apple )

All done with an ordinary apple and a knife. Half side of the apple was cut and carved inside of it, the Windows logo was carefully engraved on. At the end my speedlight and top light accomplished the scene very well. :)

Thanks for all your viewings. :thanks:

Oh. My. God.

*bursts into uncontrollable laughter* The concept is absolutely wonderful, the execution is extraordinary (actually, I'd award you six stars for technique - the lighting is amazing, the windows logo is perfect and the carving is the apple on the cake, because a cherry in this context is both inappropriate and too little said).

There's a certain amount of insanity, perseverance and willingness to become better and better that goes into the making of any extraordinary artist and I feel you have them all.

While I'm here, I'll add that it makes me feel happy about postmodernism, which wants to unite contrasts, bring together things which aren't supposed to co-exist. Usually, they do this by works that leave you thinking contemporary art cannot possibly be understood. This, however, feels to me to be the opposite of that: something we can all understand, appreciate, love.

(contrasts wonderfully united: Apple and Windows, duh; nature (the apple), craft (carving), technology (the theme); the dramatic effect of the stage light with an apple that is perfectly ordinary and would generally not be put in such a light (except, you know, because of being carved)

Awesome work.
